New Dress Code Information and More

Dear Valley Prep Family:
Happy summer! I hope you are all enjoying the vacation time. The new school year will soon be upon us and we are already making preparations for you. I wanted to remind you about some dress code changes and other information. As you enjoy the summer days with occasional thoughts ahead of school, please keep in mind our revised Patriot-wear dress code. For the new school year, we ask that students wear only red, white, navy blue or khaki jackets, so when the weather gets cooler their outerwear will match the uniform. For safety reasons, we also ask that you purchase tennis shoes for your child. Please keep as close to solid colors as possible. Any tennis shoe style is fine as long as your child can safely run at recess and PE time. The shoes do not have to be school colors only practical, without symbols or advertisements, movies, games, Gothic, skeletons or skulls—these are not permitted on any Patriot-wear.
This time of year is a good time to make a call to your child’s pediatrician’s office to schedule an appointment for a check-up, or to get immunizations updated. Please note that all forms must be completed and immunization records up-to-date before your child starts school.
The school office will be closed during the month of July. However, our office message phone will be checked on a regular basis should you have any questions. Finally, please keep your eye on our website over the summer months for more important information and dates—and have a wonderful rest of the summer!
