8th/9th Grade Class VPA—The shattered tombstone still stands mutely awaiting its ultimate fate. The Gabriel Moore Research Website

MISSION STATEMENT

It is the intent of our class to resurrect a forgotten pioneer of Fresno County in the only way humanly possible. We want to research the life of Gabriel Bibbard Moore, an ex-slave, who has dropped through the cracks of our collective consciousness and has been relegated to the ranks of the unknown for over a century. In doing so, we hope to awaken our community to a renewed awareness of all of our pioneer ancestors, no matter what their color, by publishing his biography.
